What a session touches, what stays with the venue, and what never gets a visitor’s name. Plain language for operators and curious visitors alike.

01
Who we are
Yohita Technologies (“Yohita”, “we”) builds SmartKiosk — a voice assistant for public floors such as airports, campuses, malls, and hotels. This policy covers the kiosk app on venue tablets and this marketing site (smartkiosk.ai). Venue operators who deploy the product control visitor enquiries made at their sites. We process that data only to run the service for them.
02
What a kiosk session touches
The microphone captures speech so a visitor can talk to the assistant. On-device wake-word listening stays on the tablet until a session starts. During a live session, audio is sent to the venue’s configured voice provider (currently OpenAI Realtime) to transcribe speech and generate spoken replies. The front camera shows a local preview during a session. One compressed still from that preview, the spoken transcript, token usage, and an optional feedback rating are stored for the venue operator. Live video is not recorded. The app also stores a device identifier for pairing and heartbeat status (online/offline, app version, active microphone name). No visitor name is attached.
03
What this website collects
This marketing site has no contact form. If you email, call, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you send so we can reply. Basic server and hosting logs may record IP address and request metadata as needed to operate the site.
04
How we use it
Kiosk data is used only to run the product: activate the device, answer the question, render cards, keep the fleet healthy, and improve reliability. Messages you send us are used only to respond. We do not sell personal information. We do not use kiosk conversations for advertising. Visitors at a kiosk do not need an account.
05
Who we share with
Audio and prompts for a live session are processed by the venue’s configured voice provider to return an answer. Device pairing, heartbeat data, session transcripts, one compressed session still, and token usage are sent to the SmartKiosk API so the venue can manage the tablet and review conversations. We do not share kiosk audio, stills, or transcripts with other visitors.
06
How long we keep it
Live audio is processed for the length of the session and is not kept afterward. The transcript, the session still, token counts, and any feedback rating are kept so the venue can review the conversation. Device identity remains on the tablet until the venue unpairs it. Heartbeat and configuration are kept as needed to operate the fleet. Ordinary business correspondence is kept as needed to follow up. None of the kiosk session data is labeled with a visitor’s name.
07
Children
The kiosk is a public information point, not directed at children under 13. Do not share names, travel documents, or other sensitive details out loud if you can avoid it. This marketing site is aimed at business buyers, not children.
08
Your choices
At a kiosk, end a session with the on-screen End control or by walking away. Microphone and camera access can be withdrawn in device Settings; the assistant cannot run without a microphone. Venue staff can unpair a device from their admin panel. To ask about this policy, email us at the address below.
